How Important is Parasite Cleansing?

by Marlon Dirk

Most of us are probably carrying some kind of parasite at this very moment, so it is nothing to be ashamed of. And they can be effectively cleansed from the body, so don't despair. Scientists believe 85% of the population of North America has some form of parasite; the figure could actually be higher. Parasites are more common in humans than you would think.

What is a Parasite exactly?

A parasite is a life-form that survives off its host, the host unfortunately is you and me.

You will probably never even notice their presence. Meanwhile, they rob your system of nutrition, and load you down with their toxins in the form of excretions and secretions. Parasites can pose a serious health threat. Parasitic worms can contribute to fever, abdominal pain, diarrhea, hunger pains, appetite loss, and anemia. "More than 65 different health challenges are caused by a toxic colon," according to the Royal Society of Medicine of Great Britain. Many doctors are now claiming that parasites may be the source of more serious diseases such as cancer, diabetes and heart disease.

There are several types of parasitic worms which can live in human intestines; the most common types are hookworms, roundworms, pinworms and tapeworms.

Parasites exist everywhere and are transmitted to humans in various ways such as through insect bites, going barefoot, human to human contact, human to animal contact, drinking contaminated water, eating under-cooked meat or fish, and many other ways.

Eating raw foods such as fruits and vegetables can also be a source of parasites. (Note: Don' give raw food all the blame --although the enzymes found in fresh raw foods break down undigested proteins. That means that they eat parasites.) And when you think about the many things we touch every day that has passed through the hands of other people such as money, shopping carts, door handles, ATM machines, and menus -it is easy to see how vulnerable we are to such parasites. Parasites can even be found in the dust and air we breathe.

What Can we do to Get Rid of Them?

The first thing to consider when you are ready to cleanse your body of parasites is a colon cleanse. A healthy colon is imperative. The intestinal tract is not only the place for nutrient absorption but also operates as the waste removal system. A tapeworm could potentially live up to twenty years in a person's body, without you ever knowing it! So it is recommended that a parasite cleanse be done at least once a year, preferably twice a year.

It is highly recommended to do a detoxifying program before and after cleansing your body or colon from parasites. There are numerous natural and herbal parasite cleansing kits as well as colon cleansing available on the market today. Wormwood, Cloves and Black Walnut are among some of the effective parasite cleansing herbs. The life cycle of these organisms are approximately 6 weeks from egg to full adult. Therefore, most of these parasite cleansing programs will run about 6 weeks to kill all the eggs and adult parasites.
